Sheila O is a well-respected international business and entertainment mogul who has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry worldwide since being an entertainment booking agent in her early youth. In February 2017, Sheila O made history as the first international female personality to create and host an Afrobeat radio show in the United States, airing across major FM platforms. AfroZons is a ‘groundbreaking’ two-hour weekly radio show that fuses today’s hip hop with Afrobeats, Caribbean, Amampiano vibes, and trending global music while simultaneously highlighting the latest in global, urban trends and news. Leading a movement to bring African culture to American audiences, AfroZons with Sheila O features an array of Artists, DJs, designers, activists, and entrepreneurs. As the ‘hottest’ new musical genre, Afrobeats offers a rare opportunity for hip-hop stations to catch on to the new wave of music, featuring artists such as Black Coffee, Wiz Kid, BurnaBoy, Tems, and Davido. After successful ratings airing prime time weekends on Power 92.3 Chicago, the show debuted in Houston, North Carolina, and on SiriusXM HURVoices Channel 141.

In 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, Sheila O decided to produce “How Far” which translates to Whassup! “How Far” provided a platform for Sheila O to check in and conduct her interviews with her artist, in the studio, via Zoom. The show that solely aired on AfroZons Radio on YouTube now airs in over 44 Countries.

In 2021, Sheila O lifted AfroZons to higher heights, and launched her latest venture, AfroZons Sound off Dubai, partnering up with Dubai Tourism, connecting the African and American markets to Dubai. With a host of radio partners all over the world, Sheila O is changing the culture making AfroZons a household name.

In the same year, she was selected as a Grammy Recording Academy Member for the Class of 2021! Since then through Afrozons SoundOff , Afrozons has held yearly Pre-Grammy parties in Lagos and Los Angeles celebrating the continuous growth of the Afrobeats genre. In 2024, the Grammy Awards introduced the first Best African Global Performance category.

In 2024, Afrozons with Sheila O, partnered with Super Radio to nationally syndicate the radio show on mainstream radio stations across the United States. The show also airs in the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Uganda etc .
